Crystal Dynamics

This is a proposal for the new interior office space for Crystal Dynamics, a gaming company. The design constructs a narrative through the transformation of spatial sequences similar to that of the creation of a character or place for one of the company’s interactive games.

The lobby acts as a transparent ephemeral entry gate. The all hands space becomes a town hall where the entire company can engage and interact. The project rooms allow for collaboration via graffiti walls. Finally the studio space becomes a digital Main Street complete with dynamic billboards and transformative ceiling as the main walkway bisects the workspaces on either side. The proposed design is a metaphor for the games created by Crystal Dynamics. It brands their space dynamically, highlighting the incredible artistic and visual talent of the company.
